"Monkey Me is a journey about a young man who embarks on an epic adventure as he attempts to differentiate between what are his own thoughts and what are the thoughts that society has programmed into him.
I’d like to thank all the publishers who passed on this, all the publishers who said it was too self indulgent and not commercial enough. Thank you for making me go the road less traveled, to wage a greater fight to do what I had to, it has given me a strength and a resolve that has birthed a momentum that is slowly becoming unstoppable, a momentum that I will need in the future as my projects get bigger and bolder.
I think of so many great authors of the past whose works would have great difficulty getting published today, great authors from James Joyce to Ayn Rand, and authors like Charles Bukowski, who if it were not for an inspired support structure, his unique voice may not have ever made it to print.
